Mérylithe was creates in order to offer to the customers to formulations tailored or adapted to their needs and process.

That is why the research and development pole is a strategic pole for us and we decided to strengthen over the years. Today this pole is composed of :
- 6 engineers dedicated to research of new products.
- a parternership iwth the CNRS and the INSA of Lyon
- a student who is preparing a doctoral thesis on the "fatigue strength of materials "

In order to better control our process and our development, our researchers have an R & D laboratory equipped with powerful analysis devices :
- low and high pressure casting machines (8 et 200 bars) and Presses for the validation of the formulations and to work under the same conditions of process as the customer.
- DSC (differential scanning Calorimeter) to determine the range of use of the materials.
- SEC (size exclusion chromatography) to determine molecular weights of polymers.
- Spectrometer NIRTF (near Infra Red) to follow on-line the prepolymers.
- Static viscosimeter to check and measure the viscosity of the products (from 10 to 100 000 mPa / sec)
